Incredible Dentist Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who

CHAPEL HILL, NC, September 9, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Jean Woods DDS has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her extraordinary effort in the Healthcare Industry. As a Dentist and Owner of Jean Woods DDS PA, as well as throughout her incredible 20 years in the field, Dr. Woods has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Dr. Woods runs a family dental practice, treating patients of all ages. She firmly believes that dental care is about forming a partnership between you and your dentist. Dr. Woods offers everything from a routine check-up to a complete cosmetic restoration of your smile. In addition to general dentistry, the office also provides aesthetic dental services including Zoom teeth whitening, dental bonding, crowns, dentures, bridges, porcelain veneers and dental implants.
During her educational career, Dr. Woods earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, a Bachelor's degree in Biology from North Carolina Central University, an Associate's degree from the University of Chapel Hill, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She completed a residency in surgery at the University of Georgia. Dr. Woods is currently the only black female dentist in private practice in Chapel Hill
Dr. Woods is a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Old North State Dental Society. She is also the membership chairperson of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a delegate for the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Woods has served as deputy examiner for the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners. In addition, she is a sponsor of the Shadow program, which is designed to introduce others to the field of dentistry, and is the founder of the Jean Woods Foundation.
