Stanford Who's Who welcomes Mrs. Marie C. Regan to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her outstanding work in government.
POTSDAM, NY, September 9, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Mrs. Marie C. Regan to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her outstanding work in government. As Town Supervisor for the Town of Potsdam for the past 6 years, Mrs. Regan has routinely exhibited the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
As Town Supervisor, Mrs. Regan is responsible for overseeing a budget of $3 million as well as supervising the department heads. She is also in charge of funding for the police department, fire department, road repair, infrastructure repair, planning, zoning and economic development. Marie is also currently overseeing a $306K budget for a recreational arena.
During her educational career, Marie earned a Master's Degree in American Literature from SUNY Potsdam in 1977. She is a member of the American Association of University Women. Mrs. Regan was named in the Local Elks Community Citizens of the Year in 2009, Carlton College Distinguished Faculty in 1991 and she was a SUNY Canton Honors Convocation Designee in 2007.
