Readers will appreciate the quirky and unapologetic narration of the novel's protagonist, Maya, as she explains how her normal college life was shattered when she was kidnapped and changed into something beyond human.

The second novel in the series, Landing, is slated for release in 2013. A novella that takes place between the first and second book is also in the works and will be released in the second half of 2012.
