Helen E. Gray-Yancey Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Food Service Management

Helen Gray-Yancey has been named a VIP Member for 2011-2012

    PORT HURON, MI, January 12, 2012 /United States PR News/ -- Helen E. Gray-Yancey, Food Service Manager for St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron, has been recognized as a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in food service management.

Food production management is Ms. Gray-Yancey's specialty. As the food service manager at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron, a community hospital providing optimum surgical care, cancer care and emergency services, she is responsible for ensuring excellent food service and premium food quality. According to Ms. Gray-Yancey, the most gratifying aspect of her career is receiving appreciation for her efforts from her patients and the people who attend the cafeteria for special events. She believes she receives this recognition because of her integrity and the commitment she has to her work.

Ms. Gray-Yancey received an executive secretary diploma at Henderson Business College. She has also earned a diploma in hotel and restaurant management from International Correspondence Schools. Furthermore, she has been certified in food service sanitation by the Department of Public Health of the State of Michigan. As another feather in her professional cap, Ms. Gray-Yancey has achieved certification in Food Service Excellence Professional Cooking and Food Services Standards from Purdue University. She is a former member of the National Association for Female Executives and a member of Woman of Purpose. In addition to her work at the hospital, Ms. Gray-Yancey teaches a Senior & Young Adult Bible Class at her church where she is also superintendent of Sunday School Ministry. She taught a Bible Study Group, Unshackled, from 2002 to 2009.
